The Russian Consulate in London has launched its first-ever visa outsourcing, which will process around 110,000 visa applications every year.
The contract was awarded to VFS, the visa processing outfit which handles visa applications for the Belgian, Indian, Dutch and Italian missions.
Speaking at the launch, Russian Consul General Andrey Batmanov said the new system would "relieve a huge burden" from his consular staff.
