US Embassy gets listed status

The US Embassy in Mayfair has been granted Grade II Listed status as an example of Modernist architecture.

The building, designed by Eero Saarinen, is up for sale as part of the Embassy’s relocation plans. However, its new listed status may affect its market value because redevelopment options will be limited.
