Commonwealth gets new member

Rwanda has joined the Commonwealth to become the organisation's 54th member state. The decision to admit the country, one of only two with no British colonial past, was made at the recent Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. The embassy in London was renamed a High Commission with immediate effect.
