Who do you think you are?

We all know that 007 has a number of identities, and apparently he has a doppelganger on the London diplomatic circuit. We were amused to hear a story that when the Bulgarian Ambassador Lyubomir Kyuchukov arrived at Wimbledon (to watch his compatriot Tsvetana Pironkova vanquish Venus Williams), a security guard took one look at him, and exclaimed: “It’s Sean Connery!”

That got us thinking: what other celebrity lookalikes are there on the diplomatic circuit? During the football World Cup we could have sworn we saw the Albanian Ambassador sitting in the England dugout. We are not the first to notice a striking resemblance between him and Fabio Capello. A few years ago, the England football manager was invited to a diplomatic party. A ripple of excitement ran through the guests when he arrived… except that it was the Albanian Ambassador!

And finally, do we have a glamorous Hollywood star in our midst? She’s blond, she’s beautiful, she wears killer heels and is very at home on a red carpet. Could it be that Goldie Hawn is, in fact, the Lebanese Ambassador HE Inaam Osseiran?
