Diplomatic football

One doesn’t often see a group of ambassadors down the pub, but on 2 December the Ambassadors of Poland and Ukraine got together and treated an enthusiastic crowd of football fans to a pint at the King’s Arms pub in Mayfair, where they gathered to watch the live broadcast of the draw for the 2012 EURO Finals which the two countries are co-hosting.

There were roars of delight when Ukraine was drawn with England in Group D, along with Sweden and France. Co-host Poland was drawn with Greece, Russia and the Czech Republic.
