Corps news in brief – Embassy 4 – January 2008

Envoy’s son outed as cyber jihadi

The ringleader of cyber terrorist group has been revealed as Younis Tsouli, an IT student and son of a Moroccan diplomat. Tsouli, 23, arrived in London in 2001 with his father and enrolled for an IT course at a London college. Quickly radicalised, he waged a propaganda war on behalf of Al Qaeda from a loft flat in Shepherd’s Bush under the name of Irhabi 007 – a jihadi James Bond. Jailed for 16 years, Tsouli is alleged to have worked with top Al Qaeda leaders in Iraq and provided the expertise for them to upload gruesome videos onto the internet.
