Bit of Belarus
The Belarussians are proud of their hospitality and Ambassador and Mrs Mikhnevich did not disappoint. While a musician played folk music on a traditional gusli, guests sampled Belrussian delicacies, all washed down with their distinctive (and pretty powerful) brown vodka. Ambassador Mikhnevich also took the opportunity to present the departing Marshal, Sir Anthony Figgis, with a Belarussian landscape as a farewell gift.
