Ambassador Mirosic toasts Slovenia and a successful EU summit

Slovene success
It was a double celebration for Slovene Ambassador Iztok Mirosic and his wife and colleague, Tina Kokalj as the Embassy marked their national day and the successful completion of an eventful European presidency. The six-month stint, the first by a new nmember to take the helm, nincluded Kosovo declaring independence, four summits and, of course, Ireland’s shock rejection of the Lisbon Constitutional Treaty. Despite the difficulties, Slovenia rose to the challenge thanks to the efforts of its diplomats, not least the hardworking team in London.
