Young diplomats dance until the small hours
ZanzaAfrica Party
Marlborough House reverberated to the sounds of Africa for the Young Diplomats in London’s ZanzaAfrica party in aid of Pemba Panorama, a capacity-building charity for women in Zanzibar. The 250 guests were welcomed by the Sakama Group of Dancers from Tanzania and the rhythms of Keith Waithe’s African Quintet. Forty-two prizes were up for grabs, including three trips to Tanzania presented by Tanzanian High Commissioner Mwanaidi Maajar. Then the revellers hit the dancefloor to the sounds of the Big Band Brothers and a special performance by Tony Moore of his hit single (I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight) after which DJ Salvatore kept the young diplomats moving until the small hours. The happy guests departed with some great goodie bags so no-one left empty-handed.
