Young diplomats enjoy Christmas dinner at bbar

Diplomatic sparkle
Strictly Come Dancing has nothing on the Young Diplomats in London. A thousand sequins shone at the Shiny Party 2008 – the YDL’s most glittering party yet.
After a gourmet dinner at bbar, 200 guests from over 90 countries partied the night away to the beats of DJ Sasha Barbot who flew in from Italy especially for the party.
A charity bar was provided by International Diplomatic Supplies (IDS) – with wine, beer, champagne and a dizzying array of diplomatic cocktails that included ‘Diplomatic Immunity’, ‘At the Embassy’, ‘State’s Affair’ and ‘Ambassador’, all of which were decidedly ‘influential’.
There were prizes too – for Most Shiny Female, Most Shiny Male, most original outfit and a trip for two to Malta, provided respectively by Urban Skin, BMW, IDS and Airmalta.
As temperatures plummeted, it was good to know that the £2000 raised will go to St Mungo’s – a charity that shelters the homeless in London.
