Festive Finns
It was a double celebration for Finnish Ambassador Jaako Laajava, his wife Pirjoriitta and the hundreds of guests that poured into the Residence on Kensington Palace Gardens. Not only was the Embassy celebrating their Independence Day but the festivities took place on the eve of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, which was awarded to the Finnish diplomat and consummate peace broker Martti Ahtisaari, which was another reason for guests to charge their champagne glasses.
