Diplomats joining Sri Lankan High Commissioner Nihal Jayasinghe and his wife to celebrate the Asian island’s 61st anniversary of independence were treated to the flavour of Sri Lanka with hot curries and freshly-fried, wafer-thin ‘hoppers’ (egg pancakes).
