Cameroon unity
The Royal Garden Hotel was a sea of colour as guests dressed in resplendent national dress arrived to congratulate the High Commissioner for Cameroon Nkwelle Ekaney on Cameroon’s 37th Anniversary of Unity. In his Republic Day address, the High Commissioner recalled the birth of the united Cameroonian nation in 1972 and reflected how the country had been blessed with natural resources, but more importantly, “stability and peace in an ocean of turbulence”. He added that despite the global financial turmoil, Cameroon had a lot to offer and encouraged businesses to visit the third Cameroon Investment Forum on 16-18 June.
