World Market strikes gold
London’s diplomatic missions banished
any thoughts of recession to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the ISS-UK World Market. Kensington Town Hall was packed to capacity with market stalls selling crafts, textiles, jewellery and designer fashions from all corners of the globe. And after a serious session of retail therapy, hungry shoppers could head for the food hall for a mouthwatering world feast, with cuisines spanning five continents.
All the effort was for an excellent cause
because funds raised will be donated to
the ISS which works across international borders to protect the rights and welfare of children and vulnerable adults who have been separated through conflict, migration, abduction or trafficking.
