Double celebration
This year Ukraine had two anniversaries to celebrate – its Independence Day and the 200th anniversary of the birth of the brilliant Ukraine-born novelist Nikolai Gogol, also known as the ‘Russian Dickens’. A beautiful book produced by the Folio Society to commemorate Gogol’s birth was on display.
