German Unity Day
Fellow ambassadors joined German Ambassador Georg Boomgaarden and his wife Christiane to toast Germany’s Unity Day with a vin d’honneur at the Residence on Belgrave Square. The celebrations had a special significance
as this year marks the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an event which eventually led to the unification of East and West Germany.
