World Maritime Day
Diplomats from seafaring nations, along with VIPs from the shipping community, joined the Secretary General of the IMO Efthimios Mitropoulos at IMO HQ on Albert Embankment to celebrate the 32nd World Maritime Day. In his message to the world maritime community, the Secretary General reminded guests that in the run-up to the Copenhagen Summit, the theme of this year’s celebrations would be on climate change and the efforts the organisation had undertaken to cut maritime and atmospheric emissions.
