Guests joining Uzbek Ambassador Otabek Akbarov and his wife Khayrinisa at their Holland Park residence were treated to true Uzbek hospitality, with bowls of steaming plov (rice and meat) and an array of samsa (meat-filled pastries), fruits and sweets that evoked the rich bounty of the Silk Route.
