Festive Finland
Finland’s many friends from the world of diplomacy, politics, business and the arts joined Finnish Ambassador Jaakko Laajava and his wife Pirjoriitta at their festive Residence in Kensington Palace Gardens to celebrate Finland’s Independence Day. The Finns are known for their innovation and this year legions of chefs worked to showcase an inspired menu of Finnish flavours with a twist – from mini cheesecakes delicately flavoured with salmiak (liquorice) to beetroot and vodka compote.
