The Ambassadors Kyrgyzstan, the Deputy Ambassador of Kazakhstan, the Ambassador of Tajikistan, the Ambassador of Belarus joined Russian Ambassador Yuri Fedotov to celebrate Diplomats’ Day.
Diplomats’ Day
The Russian Embassy celebrated the achievements of its diplomats by hosting a cultural evening in honour of Mikhail Lermontov, one of Russia’s best-loved poets with roots in Scotland. Guests the worlds of art, culture and diplomacy enjoyed a programme of Lermontov romances performed by a rising star in the opera world, Anastasia Prokofieva. A reception followed in the Winter Garden with traditional Russian fare and each departing guest was presented with a book featuring translations of Lermontov’s finest poems.
