Bicentennial bash
Hundreds of guests joined the Argentine Chargé d’Affaires Osvaldo Marsico and his wife Daniela to celebrate the bicentennial of the May Revolution with fine Argentine wine, meaty empanadas and locro. Reflecting on Argentina’s struggle for Independence, Mr Marisco said the time for wars was over and he appealed to fellow Argentines to “push forward together”. The evening concluded with a virtuoso performance by Argentine concert pianist Marcela Roggeri.
