The Inside Story
Cultural Attachés were recently granted an insider’s perspective on how the UK media ticks at a seminar organised by Visiting Arts in association with the European Commission Representation in the UK. The programme started with a visit to the ITN studios where they received top-level briefings on newsgathering for Channel 4 and ITV news programmes. This was followed by an afternoon seminar at the Finnish Institute where attachés were given valuable tips on how best to pitch cultural stories to arts editors in the British media and how to use new media tools to their best advantage.
