Not even London-wide transport strikes could keep ambassadors, politicians and friends of Brazil away from the Brazilian National Day as everyone wanted a chance to meet the new occupants of the elegant Mayfair residence, Ambassador Roberto Jaguaribe and his wife Cinara. Guests filled the elegant marbled halls and spilled on to the sunny terrace enjoying bolinhos and coxinhas, washed down with caipirinhas and mojitos. A perfect start to the Ambassador’s posting.
