Golden Anniversary
Ambassadors, peers and MPs rushed down from the Tory Party conference in Birmingham to join the High Commissioner for Cyprus, Mr Alexandros N Zenon, and his wife Aliki Pascali in toasting the Island’s 50th Anniversary of Independence. The sinfully good Cypriot food (organized personally by the High Commissioner’s wife) ensured that the guests from the worlds of diplomacy, the arts, academics and business lingered long at Cyprus House.
