Bicentennial bash
This year is a landmark year for Mexico, with two important celebrations
– the bicentenary of Independence and the centenary of the Mexican Revolution. Speaking to guests at the National Day celebration, Ambassador Medina-Mora reflected on the “fistful of men and women” who fought all those years ago to liberate Mexico. Referring to the challenges that face Mexicans today, the Ambassador called for a more humble heroism. “Our heroism consists of improving and building on what they granted us… to make our nation a more safe, honest and prosperous home.”
