Slovakia celebrates
Diplomats, MPs and members of the Slovak community in Britain joined Ambassador Juraj Zervan and his wife Maria to toast Slovakia’s National Day with a glass of Slovak wine and traditional fare. Held on the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Slovak airmen who were pilots for the RAF were remembered. Also on display
was an exhibition of wood carvings of acclaimed artist Arpad Pal.
