US Environment Attaché Sam Kotis talks about the US Embassy’s greening programme

Mission green
Diplomats from more than 60 missions attended the Sustainable Embassies Conference at the Chartered Institute for Environmental Health to find out how they can reduce their carbon footprint. Diplomats heard about the carbon-reducing efforts of other embassies in London as well as the Foreign Office and the Legal Sector Alliance. They also had a briefing from the London Mayor’s Environmental adviser on schemes embassies can join to create a low-carbon diplomatic quarter in London. The event ended a reception co-hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change where Lord Redesdale launched London’s Green Embassy Network.
