World Maritime Day
The theme for this year's World Maritime Day was environmental challenges. In his address, IMO Secretary General Efthimios Mitropoulos said that although the maritime industry was the least polluting of all forms of transportation, maritime nations needed to work together to ensure cleaner seas.
