Trafalgar square exploded with music this summer to celebrate 60 years of Pakistan's Independence. The six-hour cultural festival was co-hosted by Geo TV and the High Commissioner Maleeha Lodhi, who joined the street parade with British Pakistani boxing icon Amir Khan, DfID Minister Shahid Malik MP, Sarah Teather MP, mayors and deputy mayors.

It's a reminder that in spite of the turmoil in the South Asian country, ordinary Pakistanis remain proud of their nation and want to see a swift and peaceful return to democracy and stability.
