Rally for recognition
Ambassador Muhamet Hamiti used the third anniversary of Kosovo’s independence as a rallying cry for more countries to recognise what he calls “the youngest nation in Europe”. Speaking to an audience of diplomats, MPs and friends of Kosovo, the Ambassador thanked the 75 nations had recognised Kosovo to date – amounting to 70 per cent of the world’s GDP. With the International Court of Justice ruling in July last year, the Ambassador appealed to other nations to follow suit.
