Court circuit Embassy 32

Rex Wilson welcomes diplomatic guests to the brand new home of BMW’s Diplomatic and Specialist Sales and introduces guest speakers Jochen Goller, Mini Director for BMW UK, and Andrew Martin, General Manager of Engineering, Rolls-Royce.
BMW’s electric evening
There was a charged atmosphere quite literally at the launch of BMW’s swish new showroom in Westminster which is dedicated entirely to diplomats and VIPs. That’s because diplomats in attendance were given a rare preview of the world’s first-ever allelectric Rolls Royce. A few ambassadors were ready to take it back to their embassies but sadly it is only a concept car designed to generate a buzz, which it certainly did. Diplomats were also given a talk on BMW’s latest research project, the Mini E, an allelectric Mini whose results will power BMW’s all-electric, super futuristic Megacity vehicle, due to launch in 2013. For now, envoys can still be green with the BMW 320d, also on display, which uses efficient dynamics to ensure it saves energy, fuel and of course, money.
