High Commissioner Turay toasts Sierra Leone’s 50th Anniversary

Golden opportunities
Decorated in with a festive blue, white and green rosette, guests attending Sierra Leone’s 50th anniversary of independence at the Royal Garden Hotel were in a jubilant mood. In his Golden Jubilee address High Commissioner Edward Turay told the audience of diplomats and members of the diaspora community that Sierra Leone had overcome its conflict-ridden past and was making rapid progress. After a toast proposed by the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, the party really got going with guests joining in a series of traditional masked dances
