Ambassador Susman gives his Independence Day remarks

Independence Day
Ambassador Louis Susman and his wife Marjorie celebrated Independence Day by opening the extensive grounds of Winfield House for a fun-filled family picnic. In welcoming families from around the world, Ambassador Susman said it was a reminder that all belonged to “a family of nations striving for a better world”. Referring to the Arab Spring, he said the ideals that had inspired the Founding Fathers 235 years ago were “finding voice” in men and women across North Africa and the Middle East today and that “the basic American message of liberty continues to resonate powerfully”.
