The Malaysian High Commissioner Datuk Zakaria Sulong and his wife Datin Hazizah are known at the Court of St James’s for their hospitality so it was no surprise that a surge of guests streamed through the doors of the Malaysian High Commission to join them for an Malaysian Independence Day feast. A mouth-watering array of dishes were served, showcasing Malaysia’s cultural blends – and finished off with cupcakes baked personally by the High Commissioner’s wife, which we think would have taken first prize in any Great British Bake-off.
