Algerian feast
This year was the Algerian Ambassador Mr Amar Abba’s first National Day in London, held at the Royal Garden Hotel, and he and his staff made sure guests could enjoy a real feast from the Maghreb, complete with couscous, whole-roast lamb and sweet pastries. The Ambassador was in a buoyant mood, saying UK-British relations were going from strength to strength with the recent visit of Foreign Secretary William Hague and the doubling of trade between the two countries.
