Bollywood bash
Dressed in vibrant saris, colourful kurtas and bling bindis, the YDL transformed the imposing grandeur of Marlborough House into an extravaganza of Indian music and dance for the YDL’s Bollywood Evening. IDS wines got everyone in the spirit of things after which the phenomenal dance performance of the Nache Punjab Dancers inspired diplomats and friends to have a go at dancing Bollywood-style. To spice things up there was a prize draw but the biggest winner was the Friends of the Commonwealth because all the proceeds of the evening will be donated to charities in India aiding disadvantaged women and girls.
