Republic Day
On the 93rd anniversary of Latvia’s proclamation as a Republic, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais reminded guests of the role that Britain played in the country’s war of independence and its steadfast support throughout the years of Soviet Occupation keeping the Latvian Embassy in London open as a constant reminder. The Ambassador toasted the continued cooperation between the two countries as trading nations and as Nato allies fighting side by side in the foreign theatre of Afghanistan.
