Seven Cycles of success
Friends of Thailand joined Ambassador Kitti Wasinondh and his wife Nutchanart
for the auspicious celebration of the Seventh Cycle of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, marking his 84th birthday. In his National Day address, the Ambassador spoke of the deep bond of friendship between the long-serving King Bhumibol and Queen Elizabeth II who celebrates her Diamond Jubilee this year. He added 2012 would also mark the 400th anniversary of links between the two countries that started with a letter from King James I to the King of Siam in 1612, another reason to celebrate.
