Slovenia takes over the EU helm
Europe Minister Jim Murphy joined EU Ambassadors and friends of Slovenia in the India Office of the Foreign Office to congratulate Slovene Ambassador Iztok Mirosic on the occasion of his country taking over the EU Presidency. The Ambassador said the Slovene Presidency was historic in many ways – it’s the first of the new Accession countries to take the EU tiller and it is also the first Slav country to steer the organisation for six months.
