The best of Bali
Ladies from the ASEAN missions joined Mrs Hanna Sastrawan, wife of the Indonesian Chargé d’Affaires, for a taste of Bali at the Indonesian Embassy. Guests were given a Balinese dance, theatre and music presentation by renowned dancer and teacher Ni Madé Pujawati. Before long she had coaxed some of the more adventurous ladies into the spotlight to learn some Balinese steps, after which the whole audience joined in a chorus of clapping and chanting in the Kècak theatre style. Having worked up an appetite from all the dancing (and laughing), everybody tucked into a delicious Balinese spread.
