Healing art
Austrian Ambassador – and artist – Gabriele Matzner-Holzer inaugurated an exhibition by the Bindu Art School, founded in 2005 by the Austrian
artist Werner Dornik and Padma Venkataraman, daughter of the former Indian President Venkataraman. The school, which serves a leprosy colony in South India, teaches students artistic skills enabling them to produce and sell works of art that supports them financially. This exhibition was a collaboration between the Nehru Centre and the Austrian Cultural forum.
