US official hits out at Burma

SINGAPORE – US Defense Secretary Robert Gates has accused Myanmar of "criminal neglect" for obstructing large-scale international aid to cyclone victims. Venting his frustration as US ships remain barred from delivering aid, he said more Burmese civilians would perish unless the military regime reversed its policy.
